Organization Mission

"Home 'Fur' Good is a 501(c)3 no-kill animal rescue organization. Our mission is to eliminate euthanasia of treatable, adoptable cats and dogs in Arizona through medical intervention, placements, promotion of spay/neuter and increased community awareness." Home Fur Good


Age Restrictions

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (HFG's stated minimum age requirement). Youth volunteers require a signed waiver agreement. Homefurgood


Application Process

Attend orientation and training held on the first Saturday of each month, 10 a.m.–1 p.m., at the shelter (10220 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85028); email volunteer@homefurgood.org to let them know you're coming, and complete the volunteer application/waiver.


Description of Volunteer Service

Volunteers help care for rescued dogs and cats at the no-kill shelter (located at 32nd Street and Shea), providing clean housing, food, exercise, socialization, and affection, and supporting adoption events and low-cost vaccine/dental clinics. The rescue takes in at-risk animals from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.
