Girl Up

Organization Mission
Girl Up is "a fiscally sponsored, hosted initiative of Global Fund for Children" that "connects transformative youth leaders to a global network of changemakers working together for gender justice." Its work is oriented toward "a world where girls have equal value, opportunity, and the chance to reach their fullest potential." Girl Up + 2
Age Restrictions
Any student — middle school, junior high, high school, homeschooled, or in college — can start or join a Club. Alum programming is for those over age 18 who have participated in a Girl Up program.
Application Process
Youth start a new Club or join an existing one by registering through the Girl Up website; Club Leaders apply to lead. Members access a free online leadership course, advocacy tools, and a youth-led Community platform, and can submit monthly activity reports. This is a national/international program (no Arizona-specific chapter identified); participation is club-based rather than through a single local office. Girl UpGirl Up
