Age Restrictions
Minimum age to apply to the Cadet Program is 18, and applicants must have completed/graduated high school.
Application Process
Apply through the Phoenix Fire Foundation / Phoenix Fire Department Cadet Program; the program includes hands-on Fire and EMS skills training at bi-weekly meetings, held at the Regional Training Academy.
Description of Volunteer Service
The Cadet Program introduces prospective members to the Phoenix Fire Department through hands-on training and ride-along privileges at Phoenix fire stations. The Foundation also organizes volunteer-run smoke-alarm installation events and supports memorials for fallen firefighters.
