Description of Volunteer Service
Volunteers assist city departments with clerical work, research, and community events, or serve as educational ambassadors. The Police Department's VIPS program includes administrative volunteers (data entry, customer service) and uniformed patrol volunteers (vacation watch, retail patrol, accident-scene assistance).
