"To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community," offering more than 100 free monthly programs (support groups, resource navigation, social activities, mind/body therapies, nutrition counseling, educational seminars) for patients, families, and caregivers.
Age Restrictions
Not specified; day, night, and weekend opportunities are available for a range of volunteers.
Application Process
Email volunteer@cscaz.org or complete the volunteer onboarding process outlined at cscaz.org/volunteering/. Group volunteering (up to 20 people) can also be arranged.
Description of Service
Volunteers greet and welcome members at the front desk, answer/direct phone calls and inquiry emails, provide administrative support, lead classes or activities for those on their cancer journey, and — depending on their skills — may take on specialized roles (e.g., accounting, maintenance) tailored to their expertise.
