Organization Mission

A not-for-profit, all-volunteer, no-kill domestic rabbit rescue organization in Phoenix caring for abused, abandoned, and unwanted rabbits since 1986, working with county agencies and the Arizona Humane Society, and placing rescued rabbits with adoptive families.

Age Restrictions

Volunteers must be at least 10 years old. Ages 10–11 require a parent/guardian present at all times; volunteers 12+ do not need to be accompanied. All volunteers under 18 need a parent/guardian to sign the liability waiver.

Application Process

Sign a liability waiver (parent/guardian co-signs for minors) and choose a volunteer role via the shelter's volunteer page.

Description of Service

Volunteers feed and care for rabbits and administer medications at the shelter (housing 80–130+ rabbits at a time); help facilitate weekly Saturday adoption events at My Pet Market (Tatum & Shea), including checking references, introducing animals to potential adopters, interviewing applicants, and making adoption follow-up calls; and support community education about domestic rabbit care.
