Organization Mission

"More Jewish teens, more meaningful Jewish experiences" — empowering Jewish teens to build leadership skills, community, and identity through chapter programs, conventions, and service.

Age Restrictions

Teen membership generally spans grades 8–12; adult volunteer advisors must be adults (18+) able to commit roughly 3+ hours/week.

Application Process

Prospective adult volunteers complete a Volunteer Chapter Advisor Application (via BBYO's VolunteerMatters portal), which includes a background check and orientation before being paired with a local chapter.

Description

BBYO advisors serve as positive adult role models who supervise and guide AZA/BBG chapters, helping teens plan programming, develop leadership skills, and participate in regional conventions and community service (TASC — Teens Actively Serving the Community) — without taking over decision-making from the teens themselves.
